How do I book a tee time?
Tee times may booked and paid for up to two weeks in advance through our online booking system. There are 4 spots available per tee time. If you are playing in a party of 3 or less then another golfer may join you. If tee times are greyed out on the booking system then all 4 spots have been booked.
Weather Delay, Lightning and Course Closure Policy
Rain, wind, hail or poor weather do not automatically entitle golfers to a refund or reschedule. If thunder or lightning occurs, golfers should immediately seek shelter and play may be temporarily paused. If the course remains open, golfers should resume play when safe to do so or take the next available tee time offered that day. Refunds or future-date credits are only issued where Spofforth Golf Course formally closes the course, unless management agrees otherwise in exceptional circumstances. Top advice; if the forecast predicts rain, pack your waterproofs!
Is there a driving range?
The driving range is no longer open to the public. Anyone found using it shall be asked to leave the premise.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Our cut-off for cancellations is 24hr from your booked tee time. We do not process refunds for short notice cancellations.
Cancelling any later than this essentially blocks off the tee time for other golfers which is unfair to all, especially at busy times.
Cancellations made before the 24hr cut-off will be refunded in full and take appx. 5-10 working days to show on your account/card.

Can I turn up and play without pre-booking a tee time?
We can take payments for golf at the clubhouse but kindly note that we offer tee time on a first come, first served basis and we only allow 4 spots per tee time. This means that if you turn up without booking in advance, you and your party will have to wait until space becomes available for you to play.
Can I change or reschedule a booked tee time?
Bookings can be amended or re-scheduled up until 24 hours before tee time.
What if I am late to a tee time?
Each tee time has a generous 12-minute window so please ensure you arrive at the golf course early enough to make your booked tee time. Should you miss your slot, please contact the clubhouse immediately. As long as we are not fully booked, we might be able to give you an open tee time.

Do you allow dogs?
No, we do not allow dogs on site, either on the course or in the car park. Please leave your pets at home, thank you.

Can we bring our friends/partners to walk the course while I play?
No, only golfers are allowed to walk the course.
Can I hire a golf buggy or trolley?
We do not hire out buggies. We do have golf trolleys for hire. They are £4 to hire with a £10 refundable cash deposit. You can also hire golf clubs for £8 with a £20 refundable cash deposit.
Can I bring my own golf buggy?
Please do not bring a golf buggy or mobility vehicle to the golf course without prior approval from Spofforth Golf Team. Failure to comply will result in refused entry to the golf course.
